Streax at DIGITAL SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT 2020 in Berlin

On September 14, 2020, the DIGITAL SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT conference organized by the ESB Marketing Network took place in Berlin at the Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt. Despite the hybrid format of the conference (digital and physical), Streax performed physically on site. The day was intense and included top-class guests from marketing, sponsoring, sports and eSports. The following week in Berlin was used to develop further business relationships in Germany.

Devcom 2020 took place from August 17th to 30th. It is directly linked to Gamescom, the largest gaming event in the world. This year, the entire Gamescom was completely digital due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Gamescom attracts crowds of gamers and fans while Devcom focuses on the business part of the platform.

Bunny Madness is a hyper casual game that sends the message to the Swiss population to stay at home over Easter and afterwards - despite the gorgeous weather - so as not to become infected with the corona virus. Today’s market numbers of eSports are tempting (*). Still, eSports is mostly dominated by hardcore games having their roots on PC. However, neither the PC as a medium, nor the high complexity of games like League of Legends, Starcraft or Overwatch, are by definition required to entitling a game as „eSport“ or to entitling organizers to host „eSports“ events.
