Mymic, a sustainable transparent mask available soon
- Laure GremionCo-Founder Mymic
Mymic is a sustainable and efficient mask against viruses including Covid-19. Made of soft and transparent bioplastic, it comfortably adapts to your face. It is entirely recyclable thanks to the unique materials and washable filters.
Made to last, our filters are easy to replace every four hours and can be laundered in the washing machine. Thanks to its transparent and customizable design, our Mymic mask allows non-verbal communication and fits each and every style and personality!
The Teamymic, as we like to call each other in the group, have been through many steps to improve our first concept and to perfect the Mymic mask. From sourcing sustainable materials to testing different kinds of filters. We have worked in collaboration with ENSAIT, a french institute developing innovative bio-inspired nonwoven materials. Thanks to 3D printing, we have been able to make functional mask prototypes to test the shape, ergonomy, respirability, etc. From the very first print, which was stiff and opaque, to our recent transparent and flexible 3D printing, each new prototype has helped us improve new details. The last few adjustments are on their way and we are close to the final version. Hopefully, our Mymic mask will be ready for production soon.
Last but not least, we’ll introduce Mymic to the market, the most challenging part for the five of us. Fortunately, Creative Hub offers great coaching, helping us develop a strategy for fundraising and marketing. From now our main goal is to find the right financial and industrial partners in order to make Mymic available for everyone as soon as possible.
